Miley Ray Cyrus was born Destiny Hope Cyrus on November 23, 1992, in Franklin, Tennessee and raised in Thompson's Station, Tennessee to Tish Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus. She is the youngest of five siblings. She has two sisters and brothers younger than her. Miley's parents named her hoping that she would succeed. There, Billy Ray, Cyrus's father, starred as Doc (2001) in TV. Around this time that Cyrus determined that she wanted to act as well. Her first appearance was with the father of her character in Doc (2001). Tim Burton's Big Fish (2003), where she starred in a smaller role as a child, also had a great success. As of 2005, Cyrus was cast as the lead on Hannah Montana, a Disney Hannah Montana series. Hannah Montana (2006), featuring a teenage girl living two lives as a pop star. The show's director was her father was also in the show as the character. It was an instant hit with sold-out shows were announced along with merchandising agreements. Cyrus was a teen-sized star. After the huge success of Hannah Montana (2006), Cyrus made the move to other roles, including the role of Ronnie Miller in The Last Song (2010) as well as Lola in LOL (2012) with Demi Moore.
